Jim Oxley's Collection of Left Handed Guitars |
| This is a Jackson SL2H. After waiting almost 9 months I finally got it. It was worth the wait. It plays even better than my Charvel. | |
| This is my newest addition - 2011 Ibanez RG120. Its a cheap guitar but it played well so i had to own it. | |
| This is a 2009 Laguna hardtail. | |
This is an early 90's Chavel 475 deluxe This is by far the best guitar I've ever owned. Ive made many changes, The bridge pickup is a seymour duncan invader, the neck pickup is a dimarzio humbucker. I've removed the tone control, and added a 2 way toggle switch, for just neck and bridge pickup only. I bought it new around 1991. | |
| This is a 1976 Fender Strat. I bought it used around 1985. I never really cared for this guitar. I owned it for about 2 years then sold it. | |
| This is a Epihone Les Paul model. I tryed to like this guitar, so I added new pickups to it, but I just cant find a good use for a les paul. The necks are way to fat. | |
| This is a Epihone special II Les Paul model. | |
| This is a late 80's Kramer Pacer. I bought it new around 1987. It was an ok guitar. I kept it for a few years, but then I found my Charvel, and the rest of my guitars sat. So I sold it | |
| This is a mid 80's Ibanez Roadstar II. I bought it new around 1984. This was prolly my second favorite guitar. But I actually wore it out. So I sold it in the mid 90's. I also added a seymour Duncan Invader to this one. | |
| This is a Ibanez - Korean made EX Series I bought in pieces. I had my brother-in-law paint the flames and then i pieced it back together. Its just a wall hanger piece of art. | |
| This is a Fender Accoustic I bought new around 1990. Like many of my brainstorms, I played this guitar for about 5 hours over 6 years. So I sold it. | |
| I honestly cant remember what this is. I bought it at a hock shop, for $150. It looked nice but didnt play very well. I think it was a hohner. | |
| This is a series 10. This one is unique (i think). Notice the 1 tuner on the bottom of the headstock. | |
| This series 10 looks like most of the ones I've seen. The tuner are normal. Like most series 10 guitars, they dont play very well. | |
| This is a Yamaha Pacifica that I just recently purchased. Surprisingly it plays fairly well, for a inexpensive guitar. But I'll prolly sell it too. | |
| This is a Hondo les paul copy, it played as good as the Epiphone, but I just could find a way to like it. I bought it new around 1985. | |
| This is a 2003 Rogue Bass I just recently purchased. It surprisingly plays pretty well. Although Ive only logged about 20 minutes on it. I'm hoping to use it for recording projects. | |
| This is the first real lefty I ever owned. It was a hondo Strat copy. I made many changes to it. Put a stat neck on it, added a kahler tremolo, and changed all the pickups. It was my main guitar until I bought the Ibanez. | |
| This is was my first cracked at building a guitar. The neck was a right handed neck that I cut the headstock off and flipped it around. I remember using bondo to shape it. Its prolly hard to beleive, but it didnt play very well :) | |
| This is only half a left handed guitar. It has the lefty neck from my hondo stat and a right handed hondo V body. I cant rememer how it played, but prolly not to well. | |
| Heres a real gem. I had a pic so i put it on here. | |
| This is a left handed Les Paul body I had for about 10 yrs. I swore I was going to complete it, But just never got around to it. | |
I've owned other lefty's but these were the only ones that I have pics of. Hope you enjoyed seeing a few semi rare guitars. Just being left handed makes it semi rare. |
